Just wanted to let you know how much we had enjoyed our holiday at Bear’s Cottage last week - despite the not too marvellous weather! We loved the farm area and all the interesting buildings, countryside and monuments around.

The peace and quiet was wonderful and the beaches and coastal paths nearby are fantastic. The cottage itself was just what we wanted - the lounge was a wonderful seating area and the smashing selection of books and the large TV were great added extras.

We have stayed at Ty Coed twice now-a record for us as we don't normally self cater. We just love the ambience of the cottage and its surroundings, so close to Moelfre and surrounding villages yet tucked away in what feels like an ancient rural idyll. It's in such a sunny spot and the cottage is flooded with light and always toasty warm. We dream of coffees and glasses of wine on the terrace but it's so comfortable we also don't mind the odd rainy morning! So much to see and do we are already planning our third trip....

We've stayed at Bear's Cottage three times and each time we love it more than ever. We always appreciate the small touches - John provided welsh cakes, bara brith, and some milk for when we arrived - and the place is so well fitted out it feels like we could move in! It's a brilliant place to bring a dog as the bath/shower is on the ground floor so they can be rushed in if they've got a bit sandy running around at the beach, which is a ten minute walk down the hill. Bear's is also really quiet - we love the farm location and whatever the weather it always feels like an Eden when we're there. For such a quiet location, the wifi is fantastic. Thank you, John!

We have been going to Plas Ligwy for many years and it feels like coming home. We are keen walkers and it is perfectly situated to walk the coastal path. Lovely garden, great views and easy access to a fine beach.
John is the perfect host and nothing is ever to much trouble. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful autumn break with family and grandchildren at Plas Lligwy Cottage. The cottage was warm comfortable and easy to use. Lovely peaceful location with dark skies, great views from all the bedrooms, our granddaughter saw red squirrels in the garden and loved the owls hooting at night. We’ll be coming back next year!

Another blissful week in Plas Lligwy.
The Fancy House was perfectly cosy for an autumn break. A gorgeous retreat at the end of a brisk day on endless beaches, or strolling through the private woodland the farm affords. Wonderful whatever the season. Hope to sneak a pre Christmas break too.

We had a lovely winter break at Plas Lligwy staying in Bears Cottage. A beautiful farm surrounded by amazing scenery. Everything we needed to stay comfortable and warm was there for us. Plenty of places to eat and drink and good supermarkets nearby. We mostly self-catered because the kitchen is well equipped and has a log burner to make it even more pleasant (follow the instructions provided to get a good fire going). A lovely, spacious sitting room to relax in if the rain's heavy.

There are few words that can capture the beauty, comfort and hospitality of this remarkable destination. The accommodations were spectacular, and everything about it warm and welcoming. In fact, the cottage was so well appointed, we chose to cook in on more than one evening, and started every day with long walks through the fields and grounds. The only disappointment was having to leave three days later. We will most definitely be returning, as well as recommending to everyone we know who may consider a trip through Northern Wales.

Fancy House & Ty Coed are our two favourite places to stay on Anglesey! We always try to stay in one of them for at least a week every year. Plas Ligwy is an ideal base from which to explore the island. There is so much to see! We have been going there for quite a few years now and there are still plenty of places we haven’t visited yet! Both cottages are well equipped and cosy and John is a perfect host!

We’ve just spent the Easter weekend at Plas Lligwy cottage, so sad to leave! It’s the most beautiful tranquil place, one we’ll never forget. Loved walking around the grounds, discovering the ancient village and of course the local beaches. Can’t recommend highly enough!

This was our 4th visit to the Fancy House and as always the cottage was perfect. Very cosy, comfortable and well equipped. In a beautiful, peaceful location with views of the sea and ancient village from the master bedroom. Short walk to a beautiful beach and coastal path. Jon the owner, is a perfect host, very friendly and always on hand in an unobtrusive way. Hope to return to Lligwy again soon.

We stayed in Ty Coed over the Easter weekend and we were so fortunate with the amazing weather. The cottage was lovely to stay in and really felt like home away from home! Kitchen was well equipped with dishwasher/washing machine and and all the things you could think of!! Some lovely additions too including badminton rackets, windbreaker for beach. Table football and table tennis in the games room was brilliant! Location is excellent for exploring the island and close enough to walk to LLigwy beach! Peaceful and and away from any traffic noise. Hopefully we will be able to return...!

We have stayed at Plas Lligwy cottages a number of times, and continue to return. The location, within walking distance of Lligwy beach, and the walks and history on your doorstep are fabulous. The cottages each have everything you need and are well kept and cared for, like homes away from home. The views from various rooms, allow for glimpses of the sea, or the ancient monument of Din Lligwy...gorgeous! The owner is on hand, and is incredibly helpful.

Our family have been coming to Plas Lligwy for almost 20 years. Each cottage is a delight although my heart belongs to the Fancy House and the bedroom window seat. The cottages are perfect and, whilst close to everything from marvellous beaches to places to eat, they retain a sense of other worldly privacy thanks to the beautiful setting. You can drive all over Anglesey and you really should explore. But spend some days car free just soaking up the ancient history (and 21st century luxury) of the farm and its surroundings. John and Eli have created a little bit of heaven here.

We had a fabulous time in Bear’s Cottage. I loved the quirky steps, corridors and little window! Our toddler loved the farm animals (& elderly tractors). The beach nearby was perfect in the early summer weather. And the owners kindly let us stay a bit later so we could make the most of our last day! A great break, and we can’t wait to return.

We (the Shaw family) have been holidaying here for years. Absolutely fabulous place. Holiday cottages highly recommended. Hope to be spending a week or two either summer or easter for many a year yet. If you crave peace 'n' quiet, beautiful unspoilt countryside, great cottages and short walk to one of the best beaches in Wales, then this is for you.
